Anthony D’Esposito’s House Republican Colleagues Share Stage With Violent Extremists on Night One of Republican Convention

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yesterday, Rep. D’Esposito’s MAGA House Republican colleagues, including Speaker Mike Johnson, shared a stage with purveyors of violence and extremism. Speaker Johnson and MAGA House Republicans were joined by:

  • North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson who delivered a major convention address, just weeks after he said “some folks need killing.”
  • Thousands of convention delegates who broke out into “fight” chants with fists in their air over the course of the evening.
  • Numerous convention delegates who attended the January 6th insurrection or tried to steal the 2020 election with fake electors.

In response to Speaker Mike Johnson and MAGA House Republicans joining violent extremists in addressing the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, House Accountability War Room Spokesperson Zac Petkanas released the following statement:

“The calls for national unity and to turn down the temperature in our politics don’t seem to apply to Rep. D’Esposito’s extreme MAGA colleagues this week in Milwaukee.”
