Donald Trump Suggests No More Elections While Anthony D’Esposito and MAGA House Republicans Promote Election Extremism
WASHINGTON — MAGA House Republicans have been persistent in promoting the Big Lie, denying election results, and laying the groundwork for future attempts to overturn election results. It’s no surprise, as it was now Speaker Mike Johnson who helped lead the legal efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Just days ago, former President Donald Trump said, “in four years, you don’t have to vote again,” suggesting an end to democratic elections in the United States.
Rep. D’Esposito and MAGA House Republicans have been following the lead of the former President in promoting dangerous election conspiracy theories. Now, Rep. D’Esposito must explain where he stands on Trump’s threat to end voting in four years.
In response to former President Trump’s comments and Rep. D’Esposito support for election integrity conspiracy theories, House Accountability War Room issued the following statement:
“Rep. D’Esposito continues to undermine trust in our elections and promote election denialism. He consistently empowers the rhetoric of Speaker Johnson and MAGA House Republicans who sided with former President Donald Trump to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election,” said spokesperson Malachi White. “They are now pushing their anti-democratic proposals in Project 2025. With former President Donald Trump now suggesting an end to democratically held elections, what does Rep. D’Esposito have to say?”
