Ineptitude, Chaos Plaguing MAGA House Latest Proof House Republicans Don’t Have Their Priorities Straight

Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced that the House of Representatives would hold no more votes for the week as the result of chaotic infighting within the MAGA House majority — the same infighting that earlier tanked a House Republican message bill about a debunked conspiracy theory involving regulation of kitchen stoves.

Zac Petkanas, senior advisor to the House Accountability War Room, released the following statement in response:

“The House majority is so inept and mired in MAGA infighting that they can’t even cobble together the votes for the political stunts that have come to define McCarthy’s tenure. As they scramble (and fail) to pass yet another Republican message bill addressing the latest Fox News fever dream, the entire Northeast is literally choking from the effects of climate change.

McCarthy and the GOP House need to take a break from pushing extreme MAGA proposals that hurt working people and start working with their Democratic House colleagues to focus on real priorities that could pass with bipartisan support like lowering costs and creating American jobs that can’t be shipped overseas.”
