MAGA Republicans Fail at Adding Extreme Agenda into FY2024 Government Spending Negotiations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, House Accountability War Room issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the remaining government funding package.

“While Congress fulfilled its Constitutional duty to fund the U.S. government today, it took far too long to get here. Throughout this process, extreme House Republicans pushed a dangerous and deeply unpopular agenda that would have harmed working families, from cuts to Social Security to a national abortion ban,” said Albert Fujii, House Accountability War Room spokesperson. “Although MAGA Republicans failed to pass these draconian policies this time, we know they will continue threatening the programs that protect Americans’ lives and livelihoods. The fight isn’t over — we must continue holding MAGA extremists accountable as they continue to prioritize partisan politics over serving the American people.”
