New Digital Campaign Links Project 2025 to Supposedly ‘Moderate’ House Republicans’ Records

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today the House Accountability War Room launched the next phase of its digital campaign holding House Republicans accountable for embracing the policies of Project 2025, an unprecedented and dangerous takeover by MAGA Republicans and wealthy billionaire donors that rolls back Americans’ rights and freedoms, threatens our democracy, and hurts the middle class. The four websites launched today focus on the records of Rep. Elise Stefanik, Rep. Juan Ciscomani, Rep. Mike Garcia, and Rep. John Duarte, who have each embraced Project 2025’s priorities despite many labeling themselves as ‘moderate’ Republicans.

Those extreme priorities include privatizing Medicare, repealing the Inflation Reduction Act, gutting food stamps for people in need, removing health insurance protections for people with pre-existing conditions, cutting IRS funding to make it easier for corporations and the wealthy to avoid paying their fair share, and raising monthly insulin costs. There is clear overlap between House Republicans’ and Project 2025’s priorities.

“Despite House Republicans’ attempts to distance themselves from Project 2025, House Accountability War Room’s latest research shows the truth: the extreme Project 2025 agenda is the House Republican agenda,” said House Accountability War Room spokesperson, Danny Turkel. “Just look at their records. It is clear that Project 2025 is House Republicans’ blueprint moving forward. They support it, they’re pushing it, and they’re lying to the American people about their aims. The launch of these sites will help the American people hold them accountable.”
