New Digital Campaign Ties Congressman David Schweikert’s Priorities and Record to Project 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today the House Accountability War Room launched a new website highlighting Rep. David Schweikert’s embrace of the policies of Project 2025, an unprecedented and dangerous takeover by MAGA Republicans and wealthy billionaire donors that rolls back Americans’ rights and freedoms, threatens our democracy, and hurts the middle class.

For example, Rep. Schweikert voted against the Inflation Reduction Act and is a member of the Republican Study Committee, whose budget proposal would remove health insurance protections for people with pre-existing conditions, raise prescription drug prices, abolish the CFPB, and impose harsh requirements for food stamps – policies that are all outlined in Project 2025. 

Rep. Schweikert even said a Project 2025 author from the Heritage Foundation was “as dystopian on some stuff as I am.” 

To mark the launch of the new website, the House Accountability War Room spokesperson Danny Turkel released the following statement: 

“We agree with Rep. Schweikert on one thing: he and Project 2025 are as dystopian as it gets. The policies Rep. Schweikert has supported as a member of Congress mirror those outlined in Project 2025 – just as dystopian and just as dangerous for the American people.”
